Holidays and Travel in the United Kingdom

UK Travel Overview

"Until recently England was generally thought of as a gentle, fabled land freeze-framed sometime in the 1930s, home of the post office, country pub and vicarage. It's now better known for vibrant cities with great nightlife and attractions, contrasted with green and pleasant countryside".

"From Stonehenge and TowerBridge to Eton and Oxford, England is loaded with cherished icons of a past era. But it also does modernity with a confidence and panache left over from its days in the never-setting sun. Fashion, fine dining, clubbing, shopping - England 's rates with the world's best". Homestay Tours in the UK - A very different and enjoyable way to visit the UK

Rate your overall experience:: Great!

I recently went on holiday to the UK with a company called Homestay tours. This is a very different type of UK Tour holiday, basically you stay in peoples homes, they welcome you in and explain a little more about their country, giving you an insight into Britain that you would never normally to lucky enough to see. There really is no better way to experience Britain. Homestay organized the whole itinerary for us, with the option to do a little sight seeing of your own.

We really felt like we got to see the heart of the British countryside, its heritage and its people and had a much richer holiday experience thanks to Homestay. This was a holiday that I will remember for the rest of my live.

My friends and I went on a 13 day trip beginning at a hotel in London, where we all met up for breakfast and to meet everyone. We have seen so many different landmarks and places in Britain in those 13 day – Portsmouth, Winchester, Salisbury, Torquay, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bath, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Chester, Liverpool, The Lake District, and York.

We absolutely loved the people, places and flexibility. There was so much stunning scenery and amazing history, not to mention one of our host’s hearty Lancashire Hotpot - it was love at first bite. That said all of our hosts made us feel so welcome and at home, it was hard to leave.

It was so good being able to follow our own travel plan and see the things we wanted to see…. We can not wait to go back again next year.

As you can probably tell, my friends and I had a wonderful time in the UK with Homestay tours, I truly recommend they holiday to everyone and anyone interested in learning more about England.

There website is www.homestaytours.com, it really is a fantastic way to spend your holidays.
