We chose the Amigo on the basis that it was close to Grand Place, but I really didn't expect it was as close - literally 30 metres from the North-East carner of the square!. I have rarely seen such a good value hotel for a weekend, the Amigo was an excellent hotel, the service was perfect, and the decor was modern but unfussy. I would not hesitate to recommend the Amigo if you want a little bit extra, as its slightly more expensive than many of the other five star hotels in Brussels. Apparently the place used to be a prison! You couldn't be further from the truth now though...Amy Johns, SW17, Oct 2007
I was really happy with my stay at the Amigo, as I was there for the Jazz festival, and it was all going on withing crawling distance of the front doors. What a blast! Hugo, N2, Aug 2007.
