Grand Hotel Bellevue, Lille
An Eighteenth century Bourbon hotel which had Mozart amongst it's guests, the Grand Hotel Bellevue reflects the architectural heritage of Lille. Situated 100 metres from the Opéra, the Stock Exchange, the Palais de la Musique, near the Euralille and the Palais de Congrès. All rooms are en-suite with bath / shower, Satellite TV, mini bar, and safe. The Bellvue is very popular with British visitors and therefore needs to be booked well in advance. Its position is very convenient, although sometimes a little too central for some people, as the Grand Place can be rowdy on weekend evenings.

"Not all it's cracked up to be..."
I have always found Great Western Hotels to be pretty reliable in terms of quality, but I was a little dissapointed by the Bellevue. It looked overused, shabby and in need of renovation. In terms of location its pretty unbeatable if you particularly want to be in the centre, but with Lille being so small anyway, you have nothing to lose by trying somewhere else in my view.
