| Ryanair opens six new routes to Budapest | |
| 24 January 2012 Great news for travellers looking for a cheap weekend in Budapest, Ryanair has announced six new routes to the Hungarian capital from April including Bristol, Birmingham, London Stansted and Dublin and Bologna. Hungary is going through some deep economic problems at the moment which may mean a few struggling hotels looking to entice money-spending Brits to their city during the summer months. The flights are available at Ryanair.com now so make the most of the early-selling, and usually cheaper seats by booking soon. Budapest is the most impressive of the former Habsburg dynastic cities, having been capital of the whole region for a time. It sights are spaced out and the majestic Blue Danube flowing through the centre splitting Buda and Pest provides a stunning vista from Buda hill. Make sure you visit Margaret Island in the middle of the river which is now a city park with a world-famous spa situated to the north of it. You can also stay here at the Grand Margitsziget Hotel which allows you quick and easy access to the centre of the city and its sights. | |
