What was your first holiday in Europe?
It was Portugal, I was just a teenager then.
What was your last?
I went on a stag do to Magaluf (Majorca) a few months ago for all my sins! Unfortunately, I cannot remember much about the place, but I think I had a good time.
What do you love about Europe?
The Food and the chilled out vibe. Being in London, you can sometimes forget how wonderful it is to slow down, sit back and have a coffee in a nice café.
Favourite hotel?
I got the pleasure of staying in the Courvoisier Chateau in Cognac, France, which was very special.
Worst Hotel?
Once I stayed in one of these budget mass market hotels (no names) when we were in Paris as everywhere else was booked. Lifeless, with no character.
Favourite city?
Rome
Favourite beach?
Chryssi on the Greek Island of Crete. There is a little hidden cove you can get to if you climb over the rocks. It is a magnificent beach with special ecological features
Favourite restaurant?
Any family restaurant in Greece or Italy.
Who / what do you never leave home without?
My blackberry (bad I know!)
What do you never leave Europe without?
Calling my mobile company to check my phone will work in the country I am going to.
Ferry, ship, plane, train, or car?
Plane – you get to kick back and watch a movie.
What is your worst European travel memory?
Doing a tour of champagne and our car broke down. We had to dump it and hire a car for the rest of the week.
Where's next on your list?
I have a trip planned to Dubai.
Is there somewhere that you have always wanted to visit but never got round to?
Definitely Tuscany. I love the idea of walking among the vineyards, visiting the many historical towns and relaxing in a villa with a pool.
What is your "golden rule" of travel?
Don’t forget your passport and a credit card. If you have these two you can do anything you want.
What's keeping you busy at the moment?
We just opened Tossed in the new Westfield London shopping mall, the largest in Europe. We are located in the Gallery, which is a busy and buzzy area, and customers are loving the freshly tossed salads and the bio-dynamic wines, and the freshly made smoothies of course. Served as main courses, the salads are light but very filling, and very healthy, so they give a sense of indulgence but not guilt.
