Tallinn is a surprisingly small city and having taken a short break from working in London it felt like arriving any other small regional European city. We took a taxi from the airport (which was just 10-15 minutes) and arrived at our chosen hotel, the three sisters, which was recommended to us by a friend. I though the Three Sisters Hotel was very pleasant, despite the price tag, but couldn’t help feeling that it is trading off reputation rather than value for money.
The city itself is an ideal place to wind down, and is small enough to walk around in an afternoon. Take time to relax in the Old Town Square. Overall its worth visiting. Marc Chambers
29 June 2011 I really liked Tallinn. Kumu is a must next time. It was closed because of the holidays in June. The Cultural History Museum in the Old Town I enjoyed, also the parks and cycle possibilities you have there. Good second hand books are for sale in numerous languages in the National Library of Estonia. Annette Strauch
20 July 2007 I decided to take my folks there last year as an anniversary present on the assumption that it would be a easy place to visit with it being small etc.
I was not dissapointed, we stayed at the Three Sisters Hotel, which is really central and everything was really close.
The Restaurants were great and the locals friendly - would recommend it to anyone. Frank Wright
