Dunkirk War Museum

After the phoney war, on May 10th 1940 Germany launched an offensive against Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Jostled, British and French armies moved back to Dunkirk, fighting at the same time, to be evacuated by sea. 340,000 men were evacuated on 900 boats. See the whole story at this great museum.
