Hotel Bristol Reviews....

If you’re looking for a good quality hotel, in the heart of Le Touquet, then the Hotel Bristol is a good choice. It has a delightful classically French style that creates an impression of an establishment well above its 3-star rating and reasonable price. It is close to the town centre, and only a couple of minutes walk from the beautiful expanse of sand which graces the seafront.
It dates back to the heyday of the ‘Paris Plage’, before the Second World interrupted things, when the original hotel had evolved from a glorious villa. It re-opened in 1948, and has been completely renovated twice more since then (Including adding a fourth floor). It now has 52 rooms, and opens all year round.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very homely. The tall windows give a particularly light and airy feel, that somehow seems to add to the relaxing feel of the hotel. The bathrooms, too, are clean and bright, with stylish blue and white tiling.
Breakfast is served in a glorious half-timbered room, with enormous high arched windows, and period furnishings. It’s the kind of setting you would expect to find in one of the classic French movies, with the femme fatale waiting in the corner for her prey to join her. But rest assured, you’ll not be in any danger here, except maybe of putting on a few too many pounds by over-indulging in the succulent buffet.
The lounge is equally appealing, or, if the weather is pleasant, the patio area is spacious and well shielded from any coastal breezes. The Ascot bar is a little less attractive in its décor, with the deep reds and circular seating looking slightly more 70’s disco than classic French. It’s still a comfortable place in which to relax and enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple, however, before heading off to explore the delights of this region. Trevor Claringbold, Travel Writer.

Overall Experience: Good - A no fuss break. The Hotel Bristol is a three star hotel in the centre of Le Touquet near to all the shopping and cafe culture and great dining. Our room was very comfortable, a good size with a large refurbished bathroom. Breakfast was typical french buffet with pleasant staff on hand to assist with the occasional boiled egg. Le Touquet is a pretty seaside town with a super french market held in a pretty market square. Its no distance from the ferry terminal set in attractive rural surroundings and well worth a visit. Golfers love it and their partners can be left with plenty to occupy their time whilst they strut the manicured fairways, which are in plenty. One point to allow is that street parking can be difficult with local diversions on market day up to about 3pm, although hotel parking can be booked in advance. Mr & Mrs Peel, Salop
