Reaching the Autozug from the UK

The Dover / Calais Route

Despite causing you to drive much further, its a safe bet, especially if the weather's bad and the longer routes are delayed / closed. If the cross - channel is cancelled, at least if all else fails you always have the option of the tunnel. Compare prices of each with our search tool.

Stena HSS from Harwich to Hook of Holland

Harwich to the Hook of Holland

Harwich to Hook is a 6-hour journey but saves you an awful lot of driving. From here you can drive the 261km to Dusseldorf in about 2.5 hours, Hamburg 521km (5 hours) or Hildesheim, 475km (4.5 hours). You also book the Stena Line on our booking engine.

Newcastle to Amsterdam

If you live in the north of England or Scotland, this is a great option as it saves a huge amount of driving and potential delays. Make sure you get your dates right though.

Hull - Rotterdam / Zeebrugge

Another great option when coming from the north. Just a matter of what times suit you. Compare the two ferry option with our booking engine, or go to the operator direct. Driiving distance from Rotterdam to Dusseldorf is 231km (about 2 hours 15 minutes)
