Prague better value for money than London

Tourists are better off visiting Prague in the Czech Republic than taking a holiday in London, according to recent research by the Post Office.

In a study of the ten most visited tourist destinations in the world, cultural attractions in London were three times more expensive to visit than their continental counterparts.

Taking into account the potential savings on European city breaks to Prague, holidaygoers heading to London might to well to change their holiday plans and head off abroad.

The Post Office research also found that Prague was one of the cheapest cities for a weekend away, alongside Warsaw in Poland.

Research also suggests that tourists are falling out of favour with the UK's much-loved capital following the announcement by Visit London that the number of British visitors in the capital has fell by eight per cent last year.

Meanwhile, the Association of British Travel Agents claims that cheaper emerging economies throughout the world are becoming a more attractive option for British tourists, who seem to be voting with their feet.
