The best value hotel in Avignon we think is the Cloitre Saint Louis which is in a 16th century building in the centre of the old city. The two Mercure hotels, the Cite des Papes and the Pont d'Avignon have the best locations in town, next to the Palais des Papes.

You need to book early for peak periods as favourites like the Negresco (pictured) get booked out. The Best Link is a new place getting rave reviews, or try the Residence Lamartine.
