Wizzair Customer Reviews
"Like a communist time nightmare!"
You are taking a risk flying with them!
On a flight that should have departed 06:05, the departures table was indicating 07:30, we finally departed around 9:30. My suitcase was not loaded on the flight and more than a week later still no hope to get it. Baneasa looks like a 3rd world bus station, no information given to travellers, a total chaos for check-in and security and passport check. On board the staff didn't have change for purchases (who flying from Bucharest to London would have exact change in euro for a croissant?) Absolutely no customer focus at either Baneasa airport or Wizzair. I guess you could be lucky and everything ends OK but if anything goes wrong like in my case, you're stuck, nobody is interested in helping.
Overall experience: A Disaster!

"Wizz experience"
I fly somewhere monthly on a limited budget, using low cost airlines, and find WIZZAIR the best by some margin. Always clean, fresh, bright and friendly, and always some good bargain fares. I have flown to Hungary and Romania several times with no problems other that bad weather delays. Next is Jet 2, but often quite dear, then Ryanair and lastly bread and butter Easy Jet whom I find to be a bit grubby.
Overall experience: Good
Wizzair a big ripp Off!
On the 24th of May 2008 I booked return flights from Belfast to Katowice for my pregnant wife, 17-month-old child and I. We booked and paid for these seats online at a price of 294.86 GPB.
The outbound flight, Belfast to Katowice, Poland was uneventful however on our return date of the 24th of July 2008, like always I checked the internet in the event of flight delays as we had a two and a half hour journey to the airport, but could not see Wizzair flight W6 117 which was due to depart at 18:45 from Katowice to Belfast.
I informed my wife and asked her to call the customer care line as she could speak Polish, and realized that the cost of doing so was 3.66 Pln per minute equivalent to GBP: 0.90 pence per minute. We had no choice as we needed to speak to Wizzair therefore my wife proceeded to call the customer care line which was answered by Wizzair’s telephonic robot which proceeded to ask her to press various numbers on her handset until she got to the correct department were she was kept on hold for little over 1 hour which at this stage she had to hang up due to the mounting cost.
After the unsuccessful £58.50 phone call to Wizzair, I decided that I would call Belfast International Airport who confirmed my fears that Wizzair flight W6 117 from Katowice to Belfast had been cancelled by the airline without giving my wife and I notice and that Wizzair had retracted all services from Belfast to Katowice indefinitely. We tried Wizzair’s customer care line again however was the same scenario therefore I sent them an email in hope of some return contact, instead I received a message stating that due to technical difficulties it may take up to 30 days to respond to my email.
I was due to start back to work that evening thereforewe looked online for alternative flights, as we could not contact Wizzair, however Ryanair and Aerlingus were around £800 GPB therefore we booked the cheapest alternative, which was Easyjet from Prague to Belfast 4 days later, at a cost of £289.00 GPB.
I have since sent multiple emails to various Wizzair departments of which none of them have been acknowledged.
Below is a breakdown of my costs due Wizzair's cancellation of Flight W6 117, not to mention the unnecessary hardship, which my family and I have endured.
Wizzair Flight costs: £294.86
Phone calls: £58.50
Easyjet flights: £280.72
5 hour Connection from Poland to Prague airport £60.00 Fuel costs
Loss of earnings: £450
Total losses: £1,152.36
As yet I have heard nothing from Wizzair and have sent multiple emails, letters to both London offices and offices in Hungary.. Beware travellers, check reviews of this airline before you part with your hard earned cash.
Good luck getting a refund
6 months on and despite numerous email and phone calls, I've still yet to receive a refund for a flight THEY cancelled.
Overall Experience: A Disaster!
Pay budget prices and then moan.....
Flew with Wizz air earlier this year and after reading some scathing reviews I dont really understand what people had to whinge about. We flew from Liverpool to Katowice and the return flight without any problems. The staff were polite. It is a budget airline and like everything else you get what you pay for. Dont be expecting in flight movies and meals. If you want that then fork out more money. Wizz Air got us from one place to another. Would fly with them again. My advice is.... if you are to tight fisted to pay for a more expensive flight then you have no reason to moan. Laura Ashurst, Skelmersdale.
A customer rip off
Well, tried to fly with wizzair. First from Eindhoven tot Budapest. Not a problem, positive flight. But the way back. What a communist nightmare. Why did we get this corrupt bunch in to the EU?? You fill in all you names and there system makes it in to initals. Those aren't accepted in Budapest, so change your ticket for a lot of money. Want a receipt to file a complaint? cost more money. Nope. Wizzair? Don't do it! Cyberpope, 26 Jun 2011
WizzAir Customer (Non) Services
Another occasion to contact WizzAir as their on-line booking system hung up and probably either charged me twice or never confirmed the booking. Can't get through to their phone number - cannot see Email address. I just give up on them! Oliver Doherty, 20.09.11.
