  • Adria Slovenian Airlines Adria Slovenian Airline currently flies from Manchester only, to Ljubljana and Tirana direct. They do not fly from London at present mostly due to competition from Easyjet on that route. Adria are part of the Star Alliance Network offering options for travellers from many origins. They have a code share arrangement with Aeroflot, Austrian, Brussels, JAT, LOT, Lufthansa, SAS and Swiss International Airlines.
  • Alitalia Alitalia has had its fair share of up’s and down’s in the last few years regarding its financial situation but was finally baled out in 2009 by a group of private investors who then merged the airline with another struggler, Air One. At the moment Alitalia has six bases in Italy, Rome Fiumicino, Milan, Turin, Venice, Naples and Catania giving passengers a broad spectrum for choosing travel to the Italian regions from London Heathrow and City airports
  • Belavia Belavia is the state-owned carrier of Belarus with a relatively new fleet of aircraft. Belavia has had repeated problems with technical issues like credit card payments and licences in the past few years due mostly to prejudice against its government. We have flown with them three times now without any issues from London Gatwick direct to Minsk. Online booking is possible for flights starting from £180 return.   • Aer Lingus Aer Lingus, Irelands flag carrier has been a government-owned airline for most of its life but was floated on the Irish Stock Exchange in 2006 to enable it to compete with its vigorous opponent, Ryanair. They still have slots from London Heathrow Airport to Dublin which give it a substantial advantage. Fares are competitive.
  • Air France Now linked to KLM, Air France can fly you to anywhere in France via Charles de Gaulle Airport from most UK regional Airports.
  • Air Malta The national flag carrier of Malta now flies from London Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted, and most recently has begun flights from Newcastle, Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol direct.
  • Austrian Airlines The Austrian National Carrier, a very good option for accessing 44 destinations in Eastern Europe. All flights are via Vienna, with a transfer time of up to a few hours. Austrian fares to Minsk and other smaller Russian cities much lower than with anyone else.
  • British Airways British Airways now have the huge advantage of being the sole tenants of Heathrow Terminal 5 making flying a much more pleasant experience than it was before it was built. If you catch the seat sales you can get some very good deals to many European cities through BA. Book hotels and car hire online with them as well.
  • Brussels Airlines An airline borne out of the remains of Sabena and Virgin Express, but seem to have grown into a thriving operation with destinations all over Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. Fly direct to Brussels Airport from Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol but take the Eurostar from London as it's much faster to the centre of Brussels.
  • Croatian Airlines Reach Zagreb, Pula, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia from London direct with Croatian Airlines. Fares start at 109 Euro. You can reach Pristina and Sarajevo with Croatian from London Heathrow via Zagreb.
  • Estonian Airlines National Airline of Estonia flies to London Gatwick Airport. Reach Tallinn direct from most large cities of Europe.

  • FlyBMI.com bmi is the second largest airline at London Heathrow, one of the world's busiest and best-connected international airports.
  • Iberian Airlines Fly anywhere in Spain from seven UK Airports
  • Icelandair Use Icelandair for Keflavik, Reykjavik Aiport from London Glasgow and manchester direct
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airline The most convenient airline if you live in the regions of the UK. You can fly direct from your local airport via Amsterdam and avoid London altogether - that has to be a winner.

  • Lufthansa Germany's flag carrier. Fly to all German cities and regions.

  • Olympic Airlines Currently use London Gatwick amd Manchester Airports
  • SAS Scandinavian SAS Fly from London Heathrow, Birmingham, Dublin, and Manchester Airports, as well as a huge variety of other European airports.
  • Swiss International Airlines The new national flag carrier of Switzerland.
  • TAP Air Portugal The national flag carrier of Portugal has flights to Lisbon from London Heathrow and Gatwick, Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester. You can then connect to all other regional airports via Lisbon at any time of year.
