Eurostar to Avignon from £109 Return
01 June 2011

You can take a Eurostar to Avignon in just 5 hours these days with a choice of a direct or indirect train.

The direct train leaves every Saturday allowing you to enjoy the seamless journey to Provence without the hassle of getting off to change trains in Lille or Paris. Note that this train arrives at Avignon Ville, which is in the centre of the medieval city.

The indirect train, on the other hand allows you to travel when you want, but changing trains needn't be a hassle at all. The change in Lille is simply a matter of changing platforms. Changing in Paris involves going from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon, which takes no more than 20 minutes, but be sure to buy Metro tickets before you leave. You can buy them at St. Pancras station after you check in. **You can also stay up to 24 hours in Paris without paying a penny extra**.
