Rail travel between London and Geneva has just got noticeably quicker and quite a lot easier. Eurostar services from London and TGV Lyria will connect in Lille once a day, shortening the journey time by up to an hour when compared to the service connecting via Paris. The new service will run from 14th December 2014 on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and will operate throughout the year, with fares starting from £110 standard class return per person. In addition, a direct service will operate from Paris to Brig, opening up Swiss ski resorts to rail travellers.
